May 19 - The students of the graduating class hosted the Seminary trustees and the seminary community to an evening of Eskimo food and entertainment.  Students prepared traditional foods and shared traditional dancing routines with the guests. Graduates and birthday celebrants were also presented with a cake.

Board of Trustees Meeting

In his words to the Trustees of St. Herman Seminary, His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI expressed his joy that 14 students completed this school year and that three men would be graduating as priests of the Diocese.   He discussed his hope for the seminary of St. Herman Seminary and stressed the importance the seminary in preparing priests and church worker for the Orthodox Church and especially for the Russian Orthodox Diocese of Alaska.  Currently, there are more clergy serving the Diocese than have ever before.
