Archpriest Eugene Vansuch

Along with our Bishop Nikolai, the entire diocesan family including St. Herman Seminary mourns the passing of the Archpriest Eugene Vansuch.  Fr. Eugene was a longtime friend and supporter of the Diocese as well as of St. Herman Seminary, whose board he most recently served as secretary.  His Grace, Bishop Tikhon, retired Bishop of Los Angeles, San Francisco and the West rightly calls Fr. Eugene, "one of the most
genuine Christian gentlemen to walk the earth: the epitome of
kindness, thoughtfulness, while being an Orthodox Priest of rare and
outstanding abilities, especially real intelligence.".
