With the blessing of His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI, Priest Ivan Gumlickpuk from St. Michael the Archangel Church in the village of Koliganek and Priest Innocent Dresdow from Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Kodiak accompanied by Subdeacon Paul Erickson, departed for Seattle by plane, arriving safely on Wednesday afternoon. The Wonderworking Icon was taken directly to St. Spiridon Cathedral and was greeted by Archpriest Vadim Pogrebniak. That evening Great Vespers was served accompanied by the Akathist to Our Lady of Sitka and was followed by a warm recption with the Fathers giving an overview of the life of the Church in the Diocese of Alaska.

Priest Ivan Gumlickpuk from the village of Koliganek, gives the blessing at the end of celebrating Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos at St. Spiridon Cathedral.
