Visit of the Sitka Icon to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Overland Park, KS on September 28th. The church was filled to capacity for the celebration of the Akathist to the Sitka Icon with clergy from the Kansas City area, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska serving. Archpriest Chad Hatfield, Dean of St. Herman's Seminary in Alaska, gave a moving homily on the history of the Icon and of the history of the Diocese of Alaska.
