On Saturday morning, a potluck brunch was held prior to the “General Meeting” at which the theme was discussed, questions were answered and other areas of concern with the faithful were addressed by the Bishop. Conference time always affords the clergy and faithful an opportunity to be with their Archpastor.
His Grace was able to meet for the first time the newest member of the Diocesan Family, the son of Priest Sergie and Matushka Tatiana Active.

Scenes from the Vigil on the Feast of the Leave-taking of the Dormition of the Mother of God. Large crowds were at Vigil and anointing lasted well past the Canon. Faithful in attendance came not only from New Stuyahok, but also from surrounding villages such as Koliganek and Ekwok, and also from the local Hub, Dillingham.

Here, His Grace teaches the faithful the true meaning of the word and how to use it. Also, His Grace talked about the true meaning of a “wedding garment,” mentioned in the Gospels by our Lord Jesus Christ.
