Kuskokwim Conference
July 31 - August 2
Napaskiak, Alaska

His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI, Archdeacon Isidore and Protodeacon Daniel Charles travelled to Napaskiak, AK, outside of Bethel, for the annual Kuskokwim Conference. The Conference, a purely Alaskan Tradition, has as its aim the gathering of regional clergy and faithful together with their Bishop for Liturgical Worship, fellowship and discussion on a particular theme. The Diocesan Theme for the Conferences this year is tithing.

Clergy gather for candid discussion with His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI

Upon his arrival in Napaskiak, Bishop NIKOLAI was greeted with an emotional surprise: the renovation of St. Jacob (James) the Apostle Church. The parish has spent over a year in planning and work to raise the roof, and beautify the temple. This included the installation of a new icon screen and hard wood floors. An upocoming project will be the commissioning of new icons.
