With the singing of the troparion of St. Nicholas of Myra & Lycia and St. Herman Wonder-worker of America , the blessing of the fleet took place at 1:00pm May 30 in Kodiak , Alaska . Priest Innocent Dresdow from Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral celebrated the blessing, sprinkling the boats from the deck of the newly commissioned 200 foot NOAA research vessel, the Oscar Dyson. In attendance were Priest John Dunlop, Priest Andrew Kashevarof, the seminary choir from St. Herman Seminary, faithful from Holy Resurrection Cathedral and many from the community. Special thanks to the crew of the Oscar Dyson for their enthusiastic support and generous hospitality!
