Bethel, Kasigluk and Napaskiak, AK

His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI traveled to Bethel, AK, hub for the Yukon- Kuskokwim Region. While in Bethel visiting St. Sophia Churc, His Grace reviewed plans underway for building a new church. On November 18, Vladyka and entourage travelled to Kasigluk where a new iconostasis had been installed at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. Blessing the new icons, His Grace commented on the connection between the adornment of the church building with beauty and the adornment of our own souls with spiritual beauty. Flying to Napaskiak, His Grace celebrated the 75th Anniversary of that parish. Napaskiak's St. James the Apostle Church has given numerous clergy and other church leaders to the Diocese of Alaska.
