Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Kokhanak

On June 12-14, His Grace, Bishop NIKOLAI was blessed with the opportunity and good weather to visit several of his parishes in the Iliamna Lake area. Lake Iliamna, is nearly 100 miles long and 30 miles wide at its widest and home to several parishes. While there, His Grace visited Newhalen, Iliamna, and Pedro Bay, Kokhonak, Iguigik, Levelock and Branch River by small boat.

Interior of the now ruined Pedro Bay Church. Pedro Bay Church was moved from Iliamna to Pedro Bay in the early part of the 20th Century.

A Litya Service celebrated for the departed faithful of Pedro Bay.

St. Innocent of Irkutsk Chapel, Branch River. Branch River is an abandoned village, now used only in the summer for fishing.
