In their Spring session, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America, at the recommendation of Bishop NIKOLAI, elevated Hieromonk Isidore to the rank of Archimandrite. The service took place April 3, 2005 and on that same day, Archimandrite Isidore was also appointed Diocesan Chancellor. Archimandrite Isidore, originally of Albany, OR, is a graduate of St. Tikhon Seminary (2000). In addition to his duties as chancellor, he serves as Dean of St. Innocent Cathedral in Anchorage. Fr. Isidore came to Alaska along with Bishop NIKOLAI from Las Vegas in June of 2001 to serve as his deacon. AXIOS! AXIOS! AXIOS!
